About Agadir

A modern beach resort on Morocco's southern Atlantic coast, popular with Europeans and Moroccans alike, and a base for trips toward the Anti-Atlas and the edge of the Sahara. Population: about 504,768 (2024).

When to go

Its mild Atlantic climate makes it one of the warmest winter beach options within a short flight of Europe, which is when most charter traffic arrives.

Getting in from the airport

Agadir-Al Massira (AGA) is about 20 km south-east of the city. Official taxis charge a fixed fare plus a per-bag supplement; an airport shuttle bus runs to the centre, and the cheapest route is a collective taxi or bus 37 via Inezgane with a change.
